White Room, 2016
Pencil on paper
At the installation the work ”White room’’ was placed horizontally on the floor next to the rest of the plinths.
It is a drawing on stretched white paper.
Author was thinking of one’s visit to Anechoic Chamber at Harvard University. That there is no such thing as pure silence. She was thinking how could it be possible to describe the heartbeats and blood circulation through someone’s body. The light, whiteness and cleanliness would be the bliss of the moment frozen and finally captured – sterile and aseptic. When the drawings are in position – the accident is trapped. She realized, for her, the ’in-between’ aspects in the work, her desire to make meanings and the need to see to connections, enables the stillness to softly shift.
