Accompanying exhibition text: Dear colleagues, I am writing to you regarding the state of the kitchen on the third floor – it seems that some free-spirited creative soul is wandering around among us and making “art” while at work. Crafting is undoubtedly a good way to escape the chains of our word-based world. I have to admit that I, too, have occasional doubts about whether my job is just aimless and exhausting, and whether it would be better to just build a boat instead and sail the seas of the world. Sometimes I look at some commodity and start wondering how it was made, how much work and effort it took, so that I could use, say, some hand-soap. Generally, though, I get a grip on these thoughts and sit back at the computer before I create any artworks. If you can’t, that’s fine, but: please clean up after yourself!!!
