Target in direct translation means an object to shoot – but also a goal to achieve. The Target series by Maarit Murka zeros in on the goal in a simple, visual form. A persona non grata has freedom to choose which form of communication to establish with the audience- either attacking, investigating, surrendering or something radically different. To get out of the shadow, one must hold out their hand and start the dialogue with others – ask and you shall be given!
