Oil on canvas. The artwork portrays, in a warm and heartfelt manner, the artist’s spouse, renowned sculptor Ellen Kolk. Both Lembit and Ellen Kolk works feature motifs from ancient mythology and allegory, with a prominent emphasis on nature.
This piece was also exhibited at the Estonian Art Museum’s KUMU in Lembit Sarapuu’s retrospective exhibition “Reality and Truth” (2022) and is highlighted in the accompanying exhibition book.
