With speculative archaeology, the work invites to question perceptions of possible and impossible, extinct and emergent, real and remembered. Neuracornis magnus emerges from the imagined zone of VO⚀VO⚁VO⚂, a place suspended between awake and dream, science and storytelling. The work is part of the artist’s inquiry into memory through automatic sculpting with clay. Remains from the VO⚀VO⚁VO⚂, Neuracornis magnus is a part of Johanna Sulalampi’s artistic master’s thesis and was exhibited at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki in the summer of 2025.
