NARUTONG is title of the project, consists of 2 pieces, Kwan(Spirals)2022: Video HD, 15 min and Narutong(My nickname is Tong): Video projector, wood cutout, monopod, costume, led light. This project was inspired by the Northeastern region of Thailand where I was raised. I intend to tell stories that relate to kinship and the dead and belief in ghosts. This area, has had an impact on the political events of many eras as the largest region in the country. I find connections from the past to the present with objects, symbols (the spiral), or even choreography, music that is used in various religious ceremonies for connecting the world of the living with that of the dead.
