Hommage à Voyage (“Homage to the Journey”) was a small satellite exhibition accompanying Mari Roosvald’s solo exhibition Voyage, voyage, voyage at the Evald Okas Museum in Haapsalu in June 2025. The series consists of 16 digitally produced photo collages.

The idea for the exhibition was proposed by the artist Mari Roosvald in February 2025. She envisioned a photographic display in the staircase gallery of the Evald Okas Museum presenting shared travels to cultural sites around the world by herself and colleagues—lecturers from the Estonian Academy of Arts (the group “Ruum 312 A”).

For the artist, the work became a journey through cultural history: following the travels of the artist and father Evald Okas with his family in Estonia and neighbouring countries, later journeys with a young Mari Roosvald in Rome, Venice and elsewhere, and further family travels beginning in the late 1940s.
