The project ” Greeting” comes from 5 years of working in customer service. I noticed a strange paradox that Lithuanians tend not to say hello, or not to respond to a greeting. When you work in a job like this for a long time, existential questions start to arise: why don’t they say hello to me? Do I belong to a different social class? Am I invisible? I create a tape that acts as a soothing object for some and hypnotic for others. In the same way, I am creating a tape that changes depending on color. I naively hope that people will become hypnotized and start to say hello. A greeting is a sign that you see the other person. You are showing him respect. We must not lose the greeting because it is a fundamental moment of communication
