Copper Engraving. Paper size ~30x22cm. Printed on Hahnemühle Copperplate 300gr “Antique” German mould-made archival quality paper.
A single concentric spiral portrait starting from the tip of the nose.
This print is inspired by two artworks: The veil of Saint Veronica, 1649 by Claude Mellan, and Self-Portrait painting by Albrecht Dürer. Upon making this engraving I learned that Durer was 28 when he painted it, just before his 29th birthday. A funny coincidence, as I am also the same age.
