A little shadow which owes it's very existence to the light I, 2025

150 x 150 cm

charcoal on paper

The work is titled after the series. The work was part of my grad show at EKA TASE 2025. The series explores desire, perception and representation in the space between figuration and abstraction. I used charcoal instinctively as it enabled me to work quickly using my fingers. I arrive at the final image through abstraction, led by my imagination and the dimensions of the support.
