Ülle Raadik (1948) has focused on textile design for both public buildings and
private homes – textiles that function simultaneously as decorative and practical
elements shaping the character of a space. Transparency, multilayeredness,
and the flowing force of colour are central features of her printed and painted
textiles. Raadik graduated from the Estonian State Art Institute with a degree
in textile art (1975), worked as an art teacher, and has been actively involved
in the activities of the Lühikese Jala Gallery. She has also participated in
numerous exhibitions in Estonia and neighbouring countries. She is a member
of the Estonian Textile Artists’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
