Sven Grünberg is a pioneer of electronic music in Estonia. He has worked mainly as a studio musician, mostly performing his work himself – handling all instruments, singing, being a sound director and producer. He began his musical career in the early 1970s as a keyboardist and singer in the ensembles Mikronid and Ornament, after which he led the progressive rock ensemble Mess (1974–1976), which was the first of its kind in Estonia and the USSR.
