Paulina Belik Emerging artist

Artist is based in: Estonia
Paulina Belik is an Estonian-Russian artist whose work is shaped by the experience of growing up on a border — geographically between Russia and Estonia, and metaphorically between cultures and systems. Her creative journey began with children’s art classes and formal composition training at Narva Art School, followed by technical studies at Tartu Art School. She recently completed a degree in animation at the Estonian Academy of Arts, choosing the medium as a way to tell stories that linger and demand expression.
Paulina’s artistic path is deeply intertwined with the rhythms of her life. From a rebellious teenage phase — which later inspired her graduation film — to student experiments, spontaneous travels, and encounters with people and places, her work reflects a dynamic exploration of identity and experience. She moves freely between techniques and materials, allowing her practice to evolve as organically as the stories she tells. Campfires, tents, freedom, and a deep love for nature remain constant sources of inspiration in her ongoing creative process.
