Artist's country of origin: Lithuania

Since 2016, I have studied at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, specializing in Graphic Art. I chose this specialty because I always wanted to do illustrations of all types, primarily book graphics. But because of the situation in Belarus in 2020, I could not finish my education and had to move. I received my diploma in 2022, completing my education at Vilnius Academy of Arts, specializing in Graphic Arts. This year, 2024, I will finish my Master’s degree there. I have been living in Lithuania for almost 3 years. I started working with books in 2018, when I collaborated with several other artists on illustrating the novel “Leafpool’s Wish” and the collection of Belarusian riddles “Ran a Fox to a forest close”. Since then I have done the illustrations and full book design for “Nobleman Zawalnia – or Belarus in Fantastic Stories”, the collection of Belarusian haiku “Dotted Lines”, and the children’s books “The Fox and the Crane”, “The Ugly Duckling”, and “Mushroom”. I participated in art-summer in Warsaw (Poland) and plein air in Elabuga (Tatarstan) and Kintai (Lithuania). I also have participated in charity fairs, exhibitions, and festivals with my artworks. Furthermore, I have created a few books of my own: One called “Notes about Birds”, which contains different interesting observations, I’ve made about birds and nature. Each spread has a photo with a bird and a small illustrated note about how this photo was taken. The second book is called “Pieces of Summer” and is a collection of sketches showing everyday life in the summer of 2020. The third is a fun little book called “Long-tailed tit”, which is dedicated to a tiny bird. Last is “Observation” – about the cyclical nature of life. In addition to illustrations, as my master`s project, I developed an idea and drew a short frame-by-frame animation on the theme of forced migration, “Straight and in a circle.”
