Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Pekarskaja (b. 1984) is a Tallinn-based artist whose creative development is closely connected to the tradition of constructive painting. She earned her Master’s degree in art from Tallinn University in 2011 and participated from 2005 to 2014 in the constructive painting studio led by artist N. Litvinova, an experience that strongly influenced her compositional approach and artistic voice.


She has been a multiple-time finalist in the animalistic art category at the international Golden Turtle festival, and her works have been exhibited in various venues in Estonia.


In addition to her personal artistic practice, Pekarskaja has worked as an illustrator for publishing houses such as Avita and Koolibri, contributing visually to a number of educational and cultural publications.
