A 2025 graduate of the Master’s program at Vilnius Academy of Arts, my practice is a rigorous investigation into the phenomenon of escapism. My research and artwork challenge the perception of escapism as a simple retreat, reframing it as a profound and necessary dive into the self. Through a synthesis of psychological analysis and visual art, I explore how internal perception can fundamentally alter one’s reality. This is central to my figurative work, where the relationship between color and light is used to represent complex psychological states. My recent exhibitions have put these concepts into practice. My graduation show, “Samsara” (2025), utilized adjustable RGB lighting to physically change the viewer’s perception of the paintings, mirroring the cognitive shifts required to break cyclical patterns. An earlier exhibition, “Virtual Shelters, Real Reflections,” explored similar themes by contrasting the allure of virtual worlds with objective reality. My work aims to visualize the intricate process of self-exploration and transformation.
