Mia Felic Emerging artist

Mia Felić is a visual artist and anthropologist from Croatia, currently finishing her studies the Contemporary art at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Having an educational background in Sociology (BA and MA) and Cultural Anthropology (BA and MA), her art practice comes out of a direct dialogue with the two, offering critical and social perspective to her practice. In 2017 she participated in an exchange in Lund University (Cultural and Political Studies), in 2019 she acquired a researcher position at the Institute for Social Research in Lisbon (ISC-UL) as part of her internship. After being admitted to the Estonian Art Academy, she also spent one semester at Aalto, School of Architecture, Arts and Design in Helsinki, Finland. She published several academic papers and participated in solo and group exhibitions in Estonia and abroad. Her first student film On the Other Side Of was screened on several international film festivals. She has participated in the following artist residencies: “Baltic Analog Lab” in Riga, Latvia,
“Narva Art (Mini) Residency” in Narva, Estonia and “Copper Leg Art Residency” in Vaskjala, Estonia. Most recently, her professional experience is a lecturer position at the Estonian Academy of Arts (BA Photography). In 2025 Felić has also won a Helju Rossmann-Schneider Scholarship, awarded by the Estonian American Fund to exceptional EKA Fine Arts master’s students.
