Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Marju Bormeister (born 1945 in Tallinn) graduated from the Estonian National Art Institute as a painter in 1985. Born into a family of artists, she has spent more than half of her life living in the Tallinn Art Hall, making acquaintance with the world of turpentine-scented colours from a very early age. Most of all, she likes to paint nature and its variety of surface structures.
