Marion Saarik Emerging artist

Marion Saarik

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Marion Saarik (b. 2000) has graduated with a bachelor degree from the department of painting in the faculty of fine art at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Saarik’s practice revolves around the complexities of time, perception, and self-expression. Her artwork is a reflection of the internal struggles she faces as she contemplates how she is perceived. One of her distinctive techniques is the manipulation of imagery, where she reverses the brightness and darkness of colors, challenging the viewer’s perception by transforming positive images into negative.
