Marina Aleksejeva

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Marina Aleksejeva (born on May 18, 1971) is an Estonian artist known for her drawings and collages. She graduated from the University of Tartu’s painting department in 1995 and defended her master’s thesis at the same university in 2016. Since 1992, she has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Estonia and internationally. In addition to her artistic work, Aleksejeva teaches at the Tartu Art School and the Tartu Children’s Art School.


Aleksejeva’s work often focuses on visual interpretations of people’s stories and experiences, utilizing marker drawings and collages. Her pieces have been exhibited in various galleries and exhibitions
