Mari Kukk

Artist is based in: Estonia

Mari Kukk (b. 1988) is an Estonian artist whose practice focuses on perception, emotion, and the experience of life as it is — imperfect, layered, and emotionally charged. Her creative process is guided by intuition, which she regards as an essential tool for reaching authenticity in artistic expression.

Formally, Kukk’s work is characterized by a sensitive and poetic approach, often using soft tonalities and a quiet intensity. Emotional layers play a central role in her practice, yet she avoids imposing fixed interpretations on the viewer, allowing each person to encounter the work through their own momentary experience and personal sensibility.

Mari Kukk studied at the Pallas School of Art. Her first solo exhibition took place in 2023 at Art Café in Rakvere. In 2025, she participated in the Osta Noort Kunsti exhibition at Art & Tonic Gallery.
