Karin Strohm

Artist is based in: Estonia

Karin Strohm is an Estonian artist living and working in Munich. She received her master’s degree in painting from the Estonian Academy of Arts and has worked as an artist‑painter at the Estonian National Opera. Her work explores desire as a biological and aesthetic force. Ermines, insects, and diamonds serve as recurring motifs that embody both attraction and danger. Within dreamlike, almost too beautiful landscapes, she interweaves beauty, instinct, and a subtle sense of unease.
