Karin Kalman

Karin Kalman (1962) works with a variety of clay types in her practice – from porcelain to coarse chamotte clay – and fires her works in both electric and wood-fired kilns. Alongside her exhibition activity, she teaches ceramics at the Estonian Academy of Arts and works in the Stuudiokeraamika workshop that she founded. Kalman graduated in ceramics from the Estonian State Art Institute in 1986 and has participated in numerous exhibitions in Estonia and abroad. Her work is included in several public and private collections. Kalman is a member of the Estonian Ceramists’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
