Kai Kiudsoo-Värv is a researcher type of artist who above all loves to engage herself in the discovery of the world and then in working with glass. She has interest in different cultures and religions, which considerably influences the subject matter of her creative work.


Kai Kiudsoo-Värv uses in her work glass as her main medium combaining this with other materials. Her favorite glasstechniques are thin-layered pâte de verre and glasspainting.


Kai Kiudsoo-Värv (b. 1968) graduated from Estonian Academy of Arts, glass department in 1995 (BA) and obtained MA degree (cum laude) in 2005. Since 1995 she has worked as a freelance artist and participated in exhibitions. Since 2002 Kai has been a member of Estonian Artists’ Association and from 2002 – 2004/ 2010 – 2013 she was the president of Estonian Glass Artist´s Union. Kai Kiudsoo-Värv has worked also as product developer and primary artist in glass factory Scancrystal and taught glass-painting in several courses. She has also taught glass art in Estonian Academy of Arts.Currently she runs her own studio.
