Inessa Saarits is an artist whose practice explores intersections between art and biology. She is interested in natural materials that change over time and investigates the relationship between humans and nature, using elements such as tree bark marked by bark beetle tunnels and microorganisms filmed under a microscope.

Saarits graduated from the installation and sculpture programme at the Estonian Academy of Arts and has further developed her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She is a member of the Estonian Young Contemporary Art League and one of the initiators of the youth art event Kunstikompott.
