Helle Videvik

Helle Videvik (b. 1945, Virumaa) studied drawing and handicraft teaching at the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute from 1963 to 1965 and continued her studies in ceramics at the Estonian State Art Institute from 1965 to 1969.
From 1969 to 1996 she worked as an artist creating original works at the ceramics studio of the ARS Art Products Combine. Since 1996 she has been working as a freelance artist. She has been a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association since 1974.
The artist has participated in exhibitions since 1969 in Estonia, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France and the Czech Republic.
Her most important solo exhibitions have taken place at the Tallinn Art Hall Gallery (1973, 1981, 1990), the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design (1995, Bird’s-Eye View), the Tallinn City Gallery (2002, Rain), the HOP Gallery(2011, White in White), the Vabaduse Gallery (2016, Scorched Earth. Icy Earth), the Tartu Art House (2019, Taken from Water, Born from Fire, together with Ehalill Halliste), and the ARS Applied Art Gallery (2025, Path of Fire).
