Eve Ermann

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Eve Ermann (b. 1972) graduated with a BA from the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in the Glass Art Department in 1999, followed by teacher training at EKA in 2001. She has worked as a conservator-restorer specializing in wall paintings and completed additional studies in Architecture Conservation and Restoration at EKA Open Academy in 2014. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Estonian Watercolor Society, participating in group exhibitions, pan-European ECWS (European Confederation of Watercolor Societies) exhibitions in cities such as Avignon, Salamanca, Krakow, Ulm, and Bilbao, as well as in international watercolor exhibitions in Fabriano, Italy, and Helsinki, Finland. Ermann has held five solo exhibitions and participated in public art competitions, notably as one of the seven winners in the 2021 art competition for the Estonian Embassy in Washington and securing third place in the 2023 art competition for the Estonian Knighthood House. Her paintings are heavily influenced by her work on historical sites, which shape both their essence and aesthetics.
