Emilija Šlepetytė

Artist is based in: Lithuania

Emilija Šlepetytė (b. 2001, Ukmergė, Lithuania) studied at Antanas Smetona Gymnasium and the Ukmergė School of Arts, specialising in flute and trumpet, while also completing a visual arts program. She holds a BA in Site-Specific Art from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and has recently enrolled in Art Pedagogy studies at the same institution. In the spring semester of her third year, she studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts through the Erasmus+ exchange program. Since 2021, Šlepetytė has actively participated in national and international group exhibitions and creative projects, including: • Zabolis Art Prize 2022 laureates’ exhibition • International miniature exhibition Connections 2022 • Exhibition of participants in the Lidija Meškaitytė Prize competition 2022 • Group show in Poland (ALTERNATYWY 33, Gallery 33) • Installations at the Jazz and Lights Festival Džiazo Laužai 2023 and 2024 in Radviliškis • International plein air Spring Fragments in Leonpolis Manor 2024 • National plein air Gods of the Oak Forest in Vepriai 2023 • Experimental youth exhibition Hide and Seek of Light, ARTerija open street-art gallery, Jono Meko skersvėjis, Vilnius 2023 • Art Without a Roof ’23, Vilnius • Carpe Diem 2024 at Zypliai Manor She has held several solo painting exhibitions, including: • Little Town, Molėtai Regional Museum (2022) • Observations, Šilagalis and Naujamiestis Cultural Centers (2022) • Dreams and Shadows, Ukmergė Cultural Center (2023) • Disappearing, Kupiškis Public Library (2024) • Between Myths and Stories, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Ukmergė Public Library, and Vilnius Antakalnis Gymnasium In July 2025, Šlepetytė curated the international group exhibition Whispers at Leonpolis Manor. In 2023, she was awarded the painter Aleksandras Vozbinas Prize “for revitalizing Lithuanian history through the continuity and personal interpretation of the Lithuanian landscape painting tradition.”
