Daria Podluzhna Emerging artist

Artist is based in: Lithuania

Daria Podluzhna (b. 2004, Ukraine) is a graphic artist whose practice centers on the intersection of printmaking and book art. After moving from Ukraine in 2022, she pursued her studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts in 2025.

Her artistic research focuses primarily on estamp and bookbinding, through which she explores themes of memory, nature, and the human relationship to the surrounding world. Podluzhna’s works often arise from personal experiences and events that have influenced her, creating visual narratives that invite reflection on how we perceive and affect our environment.

Alongside printmaking, she has developed a strong interest in artists’ books, experimenting with constructions, content, and design to establish new relationships between the viewer and the book as an art object. Her works often combine storytelling and imagery in innovative ways, embedding a sense of mystery that calls the audience to engage and interpret.

During her studies, Podluzhna participated in several KUNO and Erasmus+ BIP courses and group exhibitions, including Ioannina Artbook and Zine Festival: Handmade Editions (Department of Graphic Art, VAA, Greece, 2025), Young New Graphic Art: Metaphysics of a Book (Vilnius Graphic Art Centre’s “Kairė–dešinė” gallery, 2024), and Įsi- creative laboratory at the Vilnius Book Fair (2024). In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded the Romas Viesulas Scholarship at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2024.
