Riin Maide

Riin Maide

Artist is based in: Estonia

Riin Maide (1997) focuses in her work on the playful

deconstruction of stage-based and spatial practices.

Her works appear as installations and objects as well

as graphic images that blur the boundaries between the

inner and outer world, the fantastic and the documen-

tary, and the two- and three-dimensional. Maide holds

an MA in scenography from the Estonian Academy of

Arts (2025). She has also studied at the Department of

Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague and

at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Maide has received

the Edmund Valtman and Eduard Wiiralt scholarships, as

well as the Young Artist Award by the Estonian Academy

of Arts (2020).
