Elvīra Beķere (born 22 December 1997 in Jelgava, Latvia) is a Latvian illustrator and artist. She graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts in Graphic Art, and in 2025, she obtained a Master’s degree in the same qualification. Elvīra Beķere’s illustrations for Osvalds Zebrs’s book “Andris and the Mountain Clapper” are her debut book in Latvian children’s literature. The artist has also collaborated with the Latvian children’s magazine “Lasis” and illustrated Luīze Pastore’s stories in the series “Young writers class”. She has drawn posters for the Latvian Puppet Theatre and illustrations for the magazine “dumzīme”. In 2025, she was nominated for the “Zelta ābele” competition for her illustrations in Osvalds Zebra’s book (Liels un mazs).
