Gabrielė Krulytė

Artist's country of origin: Lithuania

Gabrielė Krulytė (born 1997) graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2019 with a Bachelor Degree in Painting. During her study years she was deeply interested in unfolding the unseen reality of people’s feelings and conditions. Instead of following popular idea of human omnipotence and superiority young artist chose to speak about world‘s frailty, vulnerability and weakness. She uses the metaphor of nature to translate life‘s temporality and shows close connection between person‘s existence and periods of nature. Krulytė brings forward the question of infinity and analyzes human ability or inability to fully understand and impact the outward reality.
